Anna was evaluated recently by judges at festival to see how well she played the violin. The pieces she played were: "Ode to Joy" and "May Song". Her violin teacher got her results and had this to say: "I am pleased to report that Anna earned a Unanimous Superior, the highest possible rating, at festival today! That is especially notable given that it is her first year doing festival! I was so glad we were able to work through some of the tricky rhythm spots in "May Song." Tell her "congratulations" for me, and I'll plan to go over her comment sheets with her at her next lesson."
We are so proud of Anna for working so hard on these pieces and bravely going before the judges when we couldn't even be in the room to cheer her on. We pray that the music she learns to play will be a blessing to many as she grows.
The pics below are of Anna practicing in front of a mirror before her evaluation and one of her with the flowers Daddy gave her afterwards. We didn't get any of the actual performance because it was only the judges, her violin teacher and herself allowed in the room during the actual performance. Thanks for rejoicing with us on this accomplishment :)
