One room schoolhouse field trip

We had so much fun learning what school was like for children in the late 1800's. Anna, Libby, Sophia and Christopher were able to spend a whole day learning and pretending to be children in school during that time period. It was a great experience. The kids thought it was amazing that children used to get 4 lashes (spankings from their teacher) if they were caught playing with a child of the opposite sex. They also used to use the Bible in school. Boy, how times have changed!
