Recently, we had the privilege of attending a Living Nativity, a first for all 8 of us! As you can see in the picture, it was outdoors with actors and live animals including a real life camel. Chad and I thoroughly enjoyed everything just as much as the kids! One reason was because they retold the story of Jesus' birth using scripture. We also liked that it was at the Presbyterian church right down our street (easy walking distance) and that the kids enjoyed everything so much. It was cute, whenever Christopher would hear a familiar word like "Jesus" or "Bethlehem" or "wise men" or another word he'd heard read from the Bible or a song, he'd turn around with eyes and mouth wide open looking at me and breathe a little excited breath. : ) They were talking about the same things he hears at home! We also got to pet the donkey, sheep, goats and the camel. One of the wise men even carried a handheld incense burner with frankincense wafting through the air. Truly memorable and thoughts of Jesus' incarnation fill our minds with much hope and joy!

As mentioned in a previous post, we have been sick recently and have finally gotten over the hump. We were able to also take a walk in a local Japanese Garden. It was pretty big with trails, places to sit, water, bridges and beautiful plants to look upon. We had a great time and the weather couldn't have been better for mid-December!

We also really enjoyed all being back together again with the church today. So thankful everyone was healthy enough to go! We are so thankful for our church body and the preaching of God's word.
