Wow, things are happening so fast...I am now 35 weeks pregnant! We have decided to name our baby boy Evan. We had a couple other names we liked but kept coming back to this one. It is a derivative of the Welsh name 'John' and it means "God is gracious" as we know He surely is. We are still working on a middle name.
The new school year has begun for us homeschooling and Chad teaching at a local university one night a week.
I put together a collage of the kids and the grades they are in below. As far as the numbers at the top, the first number is what grade the public school considers them to be in because of when their birthdays fall. In our homeschool, we challenge them one grade level above that (the second number) and their math is even one grade level beyond that. Sorry if that's confusing :). The good news is, when we do state testing we only have to test according to what grade they would be in if they attended public school so they are well prepared and it really boosts their confidence that they will pass with flying colors :). Speaking of color, the girls are enjoying an art class they are taking at a local art studio specifically designed for homeschoolers one morning a week. Each week they learn about a different artist and a different type of art medium and then they get to practice making that type of art. So far they have learned about DaVinci and drawing, painting and Picasso and next they will learn about and make ceramics of Asia. So thankful for these neat opportunities in our community :)
Chad's mom is coming for a visit and will be here at the end of the week; when she leaves I will be full-term and could have the baby at any point after that. She'll be here to celebrate Chad's 35th and Libby's 9th birthdays with us. We are all so excited to see her soon! We only get to see relatives about once a year being so far away so this is a special yearly treat.
